Geocaching 101

Geocaching is like a game that millions of people around the planet play every day. The way it works is pretty simple if you think about it. You can either be on the offensive or the defensive side and you can even keep score if it really matters to you. :0)

The way you play is like playing hide and seek, only the hider is a thing and not a person. Let's be the hider. We are going to need a few things first:

1- a handheld GPS
2- a container (preferably waterproof)
3- a log book or sheet of some kind
4- a hiding place

Take your container and log book to the hiding place and hide it. Make it easy or hard. It's up to you.
Get the coordinates from your GPS and save them. Enter them into the website http://www.geocaching.com/ and wait for someone to find your hide.

Now go out and buy some geocaching gear and get out there and play hide and seek.
